Field Service Engineer II - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Engineer II for Leica Biosystems is responsible for providing technical service and support on equipment within the company, focusing on minimizing customer downtime and generating revenue opportunities.

In Short

• Provide installation support, maintenance, modification, and repair on mechanical and electronic instruments.
• Document service administration activities following ISO, FDA, and company policies.
• Support the sale of service contracts and assist sales representatives.
• Travel up to 90% for installations and repairs, including overnight stays.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
• Experience in networking/IT system upgrades is a plus.
• Prior experience in diagnosing and repairing medical devices is preferred.
• Remote work arrangement available for eligible candidates.
• Hourly pay range of $39.00 - $45.00.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of diagnostics and repair experience OR Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience OR 5+ years of equivalent technical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
