Data Engineer (Senior/Staff levels) - Remote

Overview

As a data engineer on Kustomer’s Engineering team, you will be responsible for growing our business by leveraging advanced data-engineering techniques to enhance our data architecture and streamline data-ingestion processes.

In Short

• Write and adapt tools to classify, ingest and reconcile data.
• Parse, analyze and understand data sets.
• Find anomalies in datasets and debug issues.
• Provide proactive oversight of our data pipeline.
• Conduct architecture, systems and data reviews.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to identify valuable insights.
• Onboard datasets and automate tasks using a modern data stack.
• Design and build solutions to efficiently transport data.
• Participate in data initiatives across the platform.
• Provide education and support to the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant technical field.
• Deep experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Golang.
• 6+ years of experience in data warehouses and cloud environments.
• Knowledgeable in data structures and experience writing efficient code.
• Experience with data management/governance and ETL processing.
• Data security and data privacy knowledge.
• Experience participating in Data on-call rotations.
• Certification in cloud or database technologies (nice to have).
• Familiarity with SOLID principles (nice to have).
• Big Data management and analysis experience (nice to have).
