Overview

Kota is making insurance and retirement benefits as accessible as modern software. We do this across the Kota Platform - the world’s first fully integrated benefits platform and Kota Embed - our embedded insurance and retirement product for platforms.

In Short

• Design and build APIs and SDKs for embedded insurance and retirement benefits.
• Contribute to core APIs and SDKs, building new features and improving existing ones.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and integrations teams.
• Learn from senior engineers on architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Take on growing ownership of projects and contribute to a blameless culture of learning.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience building backend systems.
• Proficiency in .NET, SQL databases, ORM frameworks, and automated testing.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Strong focus on writing clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
