Overview

As a QA Engineer, you will interface with the Engineering team to ensure developed code meets stated objectives and adheres to the team's quality standards. This person should be a self-starter, very detail-oriented, and work well both independently and collaboratively with the full team. This role requires someone who has strong attention to detail and is willing to work hard to ensure that all edge cases are covered. This position will report directly to the Lead QA Engineer.

In Short

  • Assist the development team to ensure speedy delivery of quality code.
  • Reduce developer bottlenecks by detecting infrastructure and code quality issues quickly.
  • Write automations to test web-driven applications.
  • Design and implement test cases to be used both manually and by automated systems.
  • Leverage CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
  • Write full functional test flows that can be run on a CI/CD cluster.
  • Perform thorough regression testing to support the deployment of releases.
  • Manage tools to create and perform manual and automated testing.
  • Assist in the triage of platform bugs.
  • Build, execute and maintain automation test suites.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of QA experience working directly with a team of developers.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Testrail, Playwright).
  • Experience with CI/CD clusters (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab).
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with multiple scripting languages (JavaScript / TypeScript preferred).
  • Ability to run manual test cases and document expected vs actual results.
  • Comfortable working with small teams to divide up testing tasks.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both clear box and closed box testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
