Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering experts to tackle real-world challenges and deliver innovative solutions that elevate Kohl’s retail offerings.

• Develop high-quality applications using extreme programming (XP) practices.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle with designers, product managers, and engineers.

• Contribute to product engineering and software standards.

• Develop self and support the development of others through accountability.
• Evaluate user stories for technical context and feasibility.
• Experience in Java and JEE development, Spring technologies.
• Knowledge of build management tools and source control systems.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and distributed caching technologies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Knowledge of application design patterns and testing strategies.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment.
• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Experience with large-scale application troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Exposure to Extreme Programming practices.
