Overview

As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving sales and fostering long-term relationships with general contractors and other key stakeholders in the commercial construction industry.

In Short

  • Develop new business relationships through warm leads and targeted office visits.
  • Manage Requests for Proposals and select projects to bid based on industry knowledge.
  • Become an expert in product offerings including doors, frames, hardware, and access control systems.
  • Prepare project estimates and collaborate with estimators for negotiated project work.
  • Work collaboratively with project management, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Provide exceptional post-sale support and maintain customer relationships.
  • Keep meticulous records of sales activities and project progress.
  • Manage the post-award process and resolve discrepancies with contractors/owners.
  • Participate in continuous learning and industry-related training sessions.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior sales and estimating experience in construction/building materials.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the Doors, Frames, and Hardware industry.
  • Experience in Commercial and Residential Construction preferred.
  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, and Internet.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively under deadline pressure.
