Overview

The Commercial Door and Hardware Engineer will create detailed schedules and shop drawings for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maximizing cost savings.

In Short

• Create detailed Division 8 door, frame, and hardware schedule submittals and shop drawings.
• Utilize Protech software and other tools for project documentation.
• Prepare door and frame submittals following industry standards.
• Evaluate door openings and determine correct product assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with FSC, BAA, ADA, and Building Code guidelines.
• Organize project management job folders effectively.
• Stay updated on industry codes and standards.
• Attend learning sessions and apply new knowledge.
• Provide knowledge support to colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of five years experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of door, frame, and hardware products.
• Familiarity with LEED/FSC/BAA/BABAA guidelines.
• Proficient in various computer software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
