Director of Supply Chain - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a visionary and committed Director of Supply Chain to take responsibility for the entire supply chain, from strategic planning to procurement and distribution.

In Short

• Overall responsibility for planning, controlling, and optimizing global supply chain processes
• Development and implementation of a future-oriented supply chain strategy in close coordination with management
• Ensuring delivery capability, cost optimization, and service quality across the entire value chain
• Building and maintaining strategic relationships with international suppliers, partners, and service providers
• Implementation and further development of modern systems, KPIs, and processes (e.g., S&OP, forecasting, inventory management)
• Identification and implementation of digitalization and automation potentials within the supply chain
• Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing international team

Requirements

• Completed studies in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in supply chain management, ideally in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of procurement, production planning, distribution, and logistics processes
• Experience in developing and implementing international supply chain strategies
• Knowledge in the introduction of modern SCM systems and digital tools
• Strong leadership skills and experience in leading international teams
• Strategic and analytical thinking combined with a hands-on mentality
• Fluent in German and English
