Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Observability Engineer in India.

As an Observability Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring full visibility, reliability, and performance of critical IT systems across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. You will work in a highly collaborative team alongside DevOps, SRE, and application teams to design, implement, and optimize monitoring solutions that enable proactive detection and rapid resolution of incidents. This role involves hands-on experience with observability tools, cloud monitoring, automation, and alerting systems to improve system reliability and operational efficiency. You will have the opportunity to implement best practices for monitoring at scale, optimize dashboards and alerts, and contribute to performance tuning and incident reduction. The position is remote-first, allowing you to work in a dynamic, supportive, and technology-driven environment while making a direct impact on operational excellence.

In Short

  • Manage, configure, and optimize monitoring platforms such as Zabbix and Logic Monitor for infrastructure, applications, and cloud resources.
  • Administer AWS CloudWatch and integrate monitoring tools with incident management platforms like PagerDuty.
  • Design and maintain monitoring dashboards, alert rules, and notification policies to ensure effective incident detection.
  • Automate monitoring tasks, alert configurations, and reporting using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end observability coverage.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce MTTA, MTTR, and MTTD across monitored systems.

Requirements

  • Experience with observability tools and monitoring solutions.
  • Proficiency in AWS services, particularly CloudWatch.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with incident management platforms.
  • Understanding of performance tuning and incident reduction strategies.
