Accountant (US Healthcare) - EST Hours - Remote

Our client is a dynamic wellness organisation experiencing rapid growth and seeking a technical financial professional to elevate their back-office operations. We are seeking an Accountant with advanced analytical and reporting capabilities to support their financial planning and strategic decision-making. This is a back end, technical role focused on analysis and insights - not clerical or transactional work.

In Short

• Fully remote role requiring work during US EST hours.
• Manage full-cycle general ledger and monthly close process.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain trial balance.
• Analyze monthly P&L variance reports for financial performance insights.
• Support cash flow forecasting and budget vs. actual analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
• Experience in progressive accounting roles is required.
• Reliable power backup and fixed fibre internet connection are necessary.
• Work on all South African public holidays.
• Collaborative role requiring communication of financial data insights.

Requirements

• Several years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes.
• Experience with monthly close and general ledger management.
• Proficient in P&L variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills.
