Overview

The Bilingual Patient Support Specialist acts as a central resource for the patient support program, responding to incoming communications and providing clinical support to patients and healthcare professionals.

In Short

  • Acts as a liaison for the patient support program.
  • Responds to incoming calls and communications.
  • Provides clinical support via phone, email, and web.
  • Facilitates drug insurance navigation for patients.
  • Handles internal clinical referrals and adverse event reporting.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement.
  • Works with pharmaceutical manufacturers on exceptional cases.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to privacy policies.
  • Contributes to team development and morale.
  • Works rotating shifts from Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent active healthcare professional designation.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in pharmacy or patient assistance.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance and pharmacy transactions.
  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of working in a team environment.
  • Willingness to seek professional development opportunities.
  • Flexibility in working hours and support.
