As a Crisis Helpline Responder, you’ll provide immediate support and guidance to individuals in crisis, offering compassionate listening, crisis intervention, and critical referral services to help callers navigate their most challenging moments.

• Respond to crisis hotline calls, supporting those impacted by suicide, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
• Deliver professional, evidence-based crisis counseling and emotional support.
• Assess caller needs and arrange emergency services or referrals as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed call records.
• Adhere to Data Protection Acts for caller confidentiality.
• Assist in developing crisis management plans tailored to each caller’s needs.
• Make informed decisions during calls, prioritizing safety and support.
• Ensure smooth handover to the next shift for continuity of support.
• Dedicate each shift solely to crisis support responsibilities.

Requirements

• Experience in crisis intervention or mental health support preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Familiarity with Data Protection regulations.
• Fluency in the local language is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
