Crisis Helpline Responder (Taiwan) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a part-time Crisis Helpline Responder with experience in helpline counselling and training in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.

In Short

• Respond to crisis hotline for support related to suicide and self-harm.
• Provide professional crisis counselling services.
• Assess caller's needs and triage for safety or emergency services.
• Maintain accurate call reports and referrals.
• Comply with Data Protection Acts.
• Support development of crisis management plans.
• Make quick decisions in crisis situations.
• Ensure smooth handover to next shift personnel.
• Dedicate entire shift to Intellect tasks.
• Conduct risk assessments for suicide cases.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a helpline counsellor or responder.
• Completed training in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of mental health issues.
• Experience in maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Flexibility in working hours.
• Empathy and compassion towards callers.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
