Payment Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Payment Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling all aspects of payment processing, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.

In Short

• Post payments, refunds, voids, return payments, service fees, and reissue items
• Import payments, NSF, accounts receivables, and vendor reports
• Produce and distribute payment and commission reports and files
• Respond to emails and accounting team tickets; working directly with clients
• A/R- Cash Receipts, Service Fees
• Assist with reconciling activity and accounts
• Ensure overall accuracy and timeliness in fund movement and reporting
• Support improving accounting processes through simplification and automation
• Partner with external partners, functional teams, and projects as needed
• Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and standard methodologies

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience
• Flexible and adaptable
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Basic Accounting knowledge preferred
• Experience with SAGE & Excel a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate and work independently
• Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization
• Maintain confidentiality
