Overview

The Business Development Director (BDD) will represent Inotiv’s Discovery & Translational Sciences contract research service portfolio which includes in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, DMPK, investigative toxicology, contract histopathology and biomarker platforms.

In Short

  • Meet territory sales goals through strategic field sales.
  • Develop strong commercial relationships with clients.
  • Identify and develop new prospective clients.
  • Participate in industry meetings and networking events.
  • Provide proposals and documentation for contract awards.
  • Coordinate internal project teams to support client needs.
  • Utilize CRM applications for tracking business development activities.
  • Support onboarding of new clients and projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality and interact with community and employees.
  • Contribute to company initiatives as directed.

Requirements

  • BS/BA/MS degree in a related science or business subject.
  • Field sales experience in the CRO industry preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation and professionalism.
  • Consultative selling skills from opportunity identification to closing.
  • Understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
  • Experience with CRM tools like SalesForce or Hubspot.
  • Ability to resolve issues creatively and positively.
  • Capability to multi-task and instill a sense of urgency.
