Lead Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. You will oversee the technical direction of projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that the team adheres to best practices in software development.

In Short

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of leading projects from conception to delivery.
• Proficiency in programming languages: Ruby and Go; experience with Python is a plus.
• Experience with async messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, Kafka, or similar.
• Strong experience with modern Javascript frameworks (React, Angular, or similar) and front-end technologies.
• Strong experience with full-stack development, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and microservices architecture.
• Experience creating and maintaining 3rd party integrations.
• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols; proficiency with Oauth and SAML is a plus.
• Experience with data collection and web-scraping.
• Experience building and implementing monitoring solutions, including performance metrics, error monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• In-depth understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming (OOP), and clean code principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Or, relevant work experience. Advanced certifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
