Advanced Data Analysis & Insights Intern - Remote

Overview

The Advanced Data Analysis & Insights Intern will be involved in cleaning, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating survey results from students and mentors who participate in iMentor programs. They may also assist with facilitating webinars and data discussions. The intern will be fully integrated into the Organizational Learning & Impact team (OLI) and will also have opportunities to interact with various other departments and stakeholders at iMentor.

In Short

• Prepare data files, including data cleaning and recoding variables.
• Conduct statistical analyses in R.
• Work with team to interpret findings.
• Design visualizations to communicate complex data.
• Review academic literature for contextual information.
• Propose topics for further analysis and research.
• Engage with various departments and stakeholders.
• Participate in webinars and data discussions.
• Accumulate sick time for hours worked.
• Complete a statistical analysis exercise during the interview.

Requirements

• Graduate student or equivalent with strong quantitative skills.
• Experience with quantitative research methodologies.
• Interest in youth development and education.
• Proficiency in Excel and R.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in groups.
• Detail oriented.
• Background check required.
