Solar Practice Manager - Remote

Overview

The Solar Practice Manager will engage with clients to solve challenges related to the development, design, construction, operation, and analysis of solar energy projects, while leading a dedicated team and contributing to the growth of ICF’s advisory services in the energy sector.

• Manage multi-disciplinary teams on solar projects.
• Deliver technical diligence support for solar energy projects.

• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership.
• Conduct subject matter expert reviews for PV solar projects.
• Work collaboratively with various divisions within ICF.
• Travel expectations of up to 10% within the continental US.
• Utilize experience in solar technology and project management.
• Help grow ICF’s Independent Engineering and Owner’s Advisory business segment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applicable discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in PV solar technology and project management.
• Experience managing teams and direct reports.
• Knowledge of solar resource and performance modeling.
• Familiarity with project contracts and agreements.
• Technical research and writing experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with programming languages like Python or Matlab.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced MS Office Suite experience.
