Instructional Designer - On-Call - Remote

Overview

ICF is currently seeking an hourly Instructional Designer to develop comprehensive training materials and interactive training sessions to support the operations of Family Residential Centers and Juvenile Detention Facilities.

In Short

• Develop training materials for Family Residential Centers and Juvenile Detention Facilities.
• Design and update training curricula in alignment with ICE and JFMD standards.
• Create engaging training sessions including e-learning modules and workshops.
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in current programs.
• Develop manuals, guides, and videos for training support.
• Implement evaluation tools to assess training effectiveness.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts for accurate training content.
• Ensure compliance with ICE and JFMD policies in training materials.
• Utilize instructional technologies to enhance training experiences.
• Work independently and manage client coordination.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with six years of relevant experience.
• Five years of experience in developing live and virtual training.
• Ability to work independently and manage client coordination.
• Knowledge of migrant/refugee issues, especially related to families and unaccompanied children.
• Prior work experience in a consulting environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in technical writing.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to exercise good judgment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs.
