Overview

The Programme Specialist will work as part of a team responsible for strategic partnerships with the Global Fund and other health partnerships, providing advisory services to Country Offices and ensuring effective implementation of health projects.

In Short

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with health and development partners.
  • Provide technical advice and quality assurance to Country Offices.
  • Monitor financial and programmatic management of health projects.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and development of systems for grant management.
  • Support resource mobilization efforts.
  • Engage in policy and technical health forums.
  • Lead a country team in managing Global Fund projects.
  • Facilitate capacity development for national counterparts.
  • Contribute to the assessment of UNDP’s internal policies.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for office functioning.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Public Health or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of Global Fund’s rules and policies.
  • Experience in audit management.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French is desired.
  • Experience with HIV, TB, or malaria programmes is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex health programmes.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
