Overview

The position involves contextualizing a technology-facilitated gender-based violence training package for gender-based violence providers in Kenya, focusing on enhancing digital literacy and creating a safer online environment for women and girls.

In Short

  • Contextualize the UNFPA Global TFGBV Training Package for Kenyan GBV service providers.
  • Conduct desk reviews and virtual consultations with key stakeholders.
  • Develop sector-specific training materials for Kisumu, Mombasa, and Nairobi.
  • Facilitate validation workshops with experts and service providers.
  • Submit a finalized contextualized Training Package and Lexicon.
  • Work remotely, using personal equipment and office space.
  • Collaborate closely with GBV/Gender Advisors and analysts.
  • Ensure alignment with UNFPA's strategic goals and ethical standards.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in GBV programming is preferred.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, gender studies, or a related field.
  • Experience in gender-based violence and technology-facilitated GBV.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs.
  • Experience in adapting training materials for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with ethical data collection and management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
