Overview

UN Women is seeking an International Consultant to conduct a detailed analysis of harmful social norms and gender stereotypes in Uzbekistan, with a focus on promoting women's empowerment and contributing to sustainable economic development.

In Short

  • Lead the design and implementation of a gender norms analysis in Uzbekistan.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in gender equality research.
  • Expertise in gender analysis and international gender policies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with sensitive thematic areas.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian or Uzbek is an asset.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work under time constraints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment.
  • Experience in multi-cultural environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
