International Individual Consultant: Technical Support for DMPA-SC Introduction in Pacific Island Countries - Remote

Overview

UNFPA is seeking the services of an international consultant to provide technical support for the introduction of Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate Subcutaneous (DMPA-SC) in Vanuatu, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Kiribati, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).

In Short

• Provide technical support for DMPA-SC introduction.
• Facilitate co-design workshops in Vanuatu and FSM.
• Conduct training of trainers (ToT) in Kiribati and RMI.
• Engage with stakeholders to develop introduction strategies.
• Prepare inception plans and training materials.
• Align efforts with Ministries of Health.
• Ensure effective integration into national health programs.
• Strengthen local capacity for DMPA-SC services.
• Support UNFPA's mission in advancing family planning access.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Public Health.
• At least 10 years of public health experience.
• Experience in reproductive health program development.
• Strong facilitation and training skills.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Field experience in the Pacific is an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet use.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
