Gender and Strategic Partnerships Consultant - Remote

Overview

The consultant will support UNFPA South Africa’s strategic engagement in national and global gender platforms, specifically focusing on South Africa’s G20 and W20 roles, and partnerships with the GBVF Response Fund.

In Short

• Provide technical and coordination support for gender-related priorities.
• Draft national position papers and advocacy products.
• Engage with government and civil society for integration of gender issues.
• Coordinate UNFPA’s participation in relevant events.
• Strengthen partnerships with the GBVF Response Fund.
• Prepare workplans and progress reports.
• Document achievements and lessons learned.
• Prepare thematic background papers and communication content.
• Align global commitments with national priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Advanced Degree in Gender and Development Studies or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in public health, gender, or international development.
• Experience collaborating with government and civil society.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to cultivate strategic partnerships.
• Proficiency in office software applications.
