Senior Accountant - Billing - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant - Billing to take ownership of our end-to-end customer billing processes. This role is critical to ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and seamless collaboration across Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams.

In Short

• Own the complete customer billing cycle, including invoice generation, validation, and submission through customer portals.
• Manage customer billing inquiries and resolve billing disputes promptly and professionally.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) ageing and drive proactive collections efforts.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams.
• Execute monthly billing cycles, including subscription and usage-based invoicing.
• Conduct weekly AR ageing reviews and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare monthly billing and collections metrics for internal reporting.
• Run scheduled and ad hoc billing runs independently.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding past due accounts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in billing and accounts receivable; SaaS experience preferred.
• Familiarity with billing tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive customer communications professionally.
• Strong analytical skills for preparing billing reports.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
