Surgical Technologist I - Remote

Overview

This job performs direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical interventions.

In Short

• Assists in setting up the surgical operating suite with appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Utilizes proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions.
• Assists with preparing, positioning and draping patients.
• Participates in the surgical pause to assure correct patient and surgical site.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument count.
• Cares for and utilizes resources to promote cost effective and efficient environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
• Requires one year certificate from a college or technical school.
• Education and Certification: Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion.
• Preferred 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.

Requirements

• Minimum one year certificate from a college or technical school.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Nationally recognized certification (CST, TS-C) within 6 months of hire.
• Military programs accepted.

• Must adhere to ethical and legal standards.
