Overview

The Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the surgical team responsible for providing intraoperative care to surgical patients, ensuring safety and effective communication among team members.

In Short

• Full-time position with 24 hours per week.
• Shifts are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Eligibility for a one-time bonus of $10,000 after 90 days and 12 months of employment.
• Responsible for preparing surgical instruments and assisting during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to hospital policies.
• Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in staff conferences and educational in-services.
• Must obtain Surgical Technologist Certification within one year of graduation.
• Physical requirements include lifting and standing for long periods.
• Potential exposure to environmental hazards in the operating room.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification required within one year.
• Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of infection control policies.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to quality patient care.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
