Overview

The Surgical Technologist II will play a crucial role in maintaining and preparing the surgical suite and ensuring the sterile field during surgical procedures.

In Short

  • Responsible for intraoperative handling of instruments.
  • Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
  • May serve as a preceptor for new staff.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Participate in both pediatric and adult surgical procedures.
  • Contribute to a recognized unit in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.
  • Full-time position with variable workdays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent training preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to handle changing conditions during surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team-oriented approach to patient care.
  • Commitment to a drug-free workplace.
  • Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements.
