Overview

The MRI Technologist is responsible for producing quality MRI images as ordered by the treating physician while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

In Short

  • Produces quality MRI images as ordered by physicians.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
  • Maintains clinical documentation and assists in scheduling MRI exams.
  • Completes required continuing education to remain current in the field.
  • Acts as a point of contact in the absence of department management.
  • Responds to and resolves patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Interacts with patients and family members during MRI procedures.
  • Maintains supply chain responsibilities for medical supplies.
  • Prepares patients for MRI examinations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Radiological Technology program.
  • Registry eligible or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License required before start date.
  • MRI Advanced Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One or more years of experience as an MRI technologist preferred.
