The Radiologic Technologist II performs various radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under general supervision, ensuring quality standards are met while providing exceptional patient care.

In Short

  • Perform complex radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Act as Lead or Supervisor in the absence of senior staff.
  • Assist radiologists during procedures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment issues.
  • Participate in training for staff and students.
  • Maintain effective communication with diverse groups.
  • Document and communicate equipment problems effectively.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player.

Requirements

  • ARRT-RTR certification required.
  • One year of related work experience required.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting imaging equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of patient safety and positioning methods.
  • Experience in imaging processes and fluoroscopic techniques.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
