Overview

The Respiratory Therapist provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital policies.
• Completes required documentation for department effectiveness.
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures as per hospital policies.
• Provides instruction to patients and healthcare team members.

• Must have Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Requires Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
• Preferred: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with two years of hospital experience.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34, 33, and 73 clearance certificates.
• Two years of experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine preferred.
• Compliance with company’s Code of Business Conduct.
