Overview

The Patient Access Coordinator II plays a crucial role in creating the first impression of AHN's services to patients and families by managing scheduling, financial clearance, and insurance verification processes.

In Short

  • Conducts scheduling and pre-registration functions.
  • Validates patient demographic data and verifies medical benefits.
  • Calculates patient financial responsibilities and collects payments.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Trains and assists team members as necessary.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Completes mandatory training and education sessions.
  • Assists in resolving patient issues requiring oversight.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience operating PC and using software applications.
  • Preferred: Associates degree and three years' experience.
  • Call center experience preferred.
