Endoscopy Technician - Remote

Overview

The Endoscopy Technician acts under the direction of the endoscopist and/or Registered Nurse during endoscopic procedures, assisting with technical duties and maintaining equipment.

In Short

• Participates in the maintenance of procedure room supplies and endoscopic equipment.
• Functions as an integral team member during GI-endoscopic procedures.
• Disassembles and reprocesses instrumentation post-procedure.
• Maintains effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Assists with special procedures under the direction of RN and MD.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification required.
• Background clearance certificates are necessary.
• Prior GI-endoscopy experience preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma / GED.
• 1-3 months related experience or training.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Criminal background clearance certificates.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in a health-related field.
• Prior GI-endoscopy experience is a plus.
