Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the accounting operations, with primary responsibility for General Ledger and Accounts Payable functions. This position is well-suited for a driven accounting professional who is interested in developing expertise in public company reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls, with potential to growth into an accounting management role.

In Short

• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries and month-end adjustments
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage and support Accounts Payable activities
• Assist with preparation of financial statements
• Support quarterly and annual audits
• Execute and maintain internal controls
• Identify control deficiencies and recommend improvements
• Build knowledge of public company accounting policies
• Partner with Finance leader on projects and enhancements

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Hands-on experience with General Ledger and Accounts Payable
• Working knowledge of SOX compliance
• Experience working with auditors
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
