Manager, People Operations - Remote

Overview

The Manager, People Operations is the operational backbone of the People Operations function at Habitat Health. This role ensures operational excellence, data integrity, compliance execution, and a consistent team member experience in a fast-growing startup environment.

In Short

• Create and lead scalable processes for onboarding, offboarding, and team member lifecycle.
• Assist with policy creation and compliance governance in a multi-state environment.
• Optimize physician onboarding programs in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage outsourced vendors for various support services.
• Monitor employment laws and recommend policy changes.
• Own the People Operations calendar for key activities.
• Lead annual Open Enrollment and maintain benefits compliance.
• Assist with total rewards efforts and maintain career architectures.
• Address complex team member questions and maintain service-level expectations.
• Serve as a thought partner to navigate policy questions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of people operations/HR experience in healthcare.
• Experience with CA and multi-state employment law.
• Strong knowledge of California employment fundamentals.
• Exceptional data analytics and reporting skills.
• Hands-on experience with HR systems like Rippling and Greenhouse.
• Owned end-to-end open enrollment processes.
• Must live in California; 15% travel required.
