Overview

The Senior Staff Engineer will be part of the Payments team at Gusto, responsible for building new payments capabilities and (re)architecting the payments platform to scale for the future.

Requirements

• 12+ years of expertise in Payments platforms at scaled FinTech companies.
• Experience building scalable and global payments platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and system design.
• Experience with large scale, mission-critical systems in production.
• Aptitude for simplifying complex problems and communicating effectively.
• Experience operationalizing and scaling interconnected production systems.
• Enthusiasm for a collaborative, test-driven environment.
