Overview

As the Assistant Controller – EMEA at Gurobi Optimization, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations for the company’s European operations, focusing on Germany. This role will support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and driving improvements in internal controls and financial processes.

• Maintain full responsibility for accounting close and reporting under US GAAP.
• Perform transfer pricing calculations and manage inter-company transactions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and requirements.
• Support tax compliance submissions and audit of financial statements.
• Lead transformation of statutory financial reporting processes.
• Oversee cash flow projections and provide strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with German tax regulations and local laws.
• Manage cash disbursements for the GmbH entity.
• Assist with financial systems management and optimization.
• Provide support during system upgrades and process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience.
• Proficiency in German accounting standards (HGB) and US GAAP.
• Experience with German tax regulations and VAT compliance.
• Experience with international business and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Chartered accountant, CPA, or equivalent certification.
• Fluency in German and English required.
