Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a permanent Financial Controller for Gunnebo Markersdorf GmbH, to be based remotely within Germany.

In Short

• Responsible for monthly closing, including general ledger and balance sheet accounting, as well as profit and loss statement preparation.
• Preparation of internal monthly reporting to the group (Cognos).
• Close collaboration with our external accounting service provider.
• Review and approval of payment runs from monthly payroll.
• Responsible for billing management, including provisions for missing expenses, inventory, and receivables.
• Provision of analyses and advice to the management team regarding company performance compared to budget.
• Consulting managers to improve financial performance and cash flow.
• Coordinating processes for monthly reporting, budgeting, and new forecasting, as well as cash flow forecasting.
• Review and preparation of annual financial statements.
• Filing tax returns and collaborating with external tax specialists.
• Improving workflows and minimizing manual steps.

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in business administration or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Experience in financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Resilient, proactive, and structured personality.
• Results-oriented and detail-oriented work style.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools.
• Experience with MS Office and ERP software (Microsoft D365).
• Very good German and business fluent English skills.
