Overview

The Financial Controller role at Molecular Devices involves overseeing all US GAAP and Austrian GAAP statutory accounting and reporting activities for the Austrian operations, while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

In Short

• Lead preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with Austrian GAAP and US GAAP.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Act as the main point of contact for local external partners and auditors.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and review financial reporting schedules per US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with Austrian accounting standards and oversee tax filings.
• Conduct variance analyses and support strategic decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements for financial controls.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in German and English required.

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance Qualification.
• Austrian/German qualified accountant.
• Several years’ experience in statutory financial accounts.
• Manufacturing experience in a global business environment.
• Sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
• Fluent in German and English.
