In Short

• Manage and optimize payroll operations in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while navigating complex regulations.
• Manage full-cycle bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll via Rippling.
• Review and process bi-weekly hours for accurate payments.
• Support payroll compliance, including multi-state tax withholding.
• Provide payroll reports to Finance, Legal, and People Operations.
• Assist with payroll system implementations and process improvements.
• Oversee leave and 401k administration.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years in a payroll function, preferably in a tech/start-up environment.
• Experience managing multi-state payrolls for 500+ employees.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and employment laws.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and data flow.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex information.
• Demonstrated discretion and attention to detail.
