Overview

The 1st Party Debt Collection Specialist is responsible for collecting outstanding balances from residents while ensuring compliance with laws and departmental policies. This role offers competitive pay and commission based on performance.

In Short

• Make 50-100 outbound calls daily to collect payments.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and document actions taken.
• Validate disputed charges and conduct research to resolve inconsistencies.
• Maintain accuracy of resident personal and confidential information.
• Resolve charge disputes efficiently to maintain client relationships.
• Prepare accurate documents and communications for distribution.
• Collaborate with internal departments for effective issue resolution.
• Complete departmental projects and meet performance standards.
• Maintain accurate reports on former resident accounts.
• Achieve established budget quotas and recovery percentage goals.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in first-party debt collections.
• Experience in call center environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with remote work settings.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience with property management software (Yardi or One Site).
