Overview

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in managing the financial and operational aspects of the community, including accounting, bookkeeping, and resident relations.

In Short

  • Assist in overseeing financial operations of the community.
  • Complete accounting tasks such as collecting rent and processing invoices.
  • Use property management software (Yardi/OneSite) for financial transactions.
  • Communicate with residents regarding payments and outstanding balances.
  • Manage vendor invoicing and payments.
  • Handle resident move-outs and lease terminations.
  • Promote resident satisfaction and address service issues.
  • Act as on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager.
  • Support leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Participate in owner relationship management.

Requirements

  • Experience in property management or related field.
  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of eviction procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
