Overview

Granicus is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our SRE team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services.

In Short

  • Provide on-call production support and work on customer tickets.
  • Continuously monitor systems and respond to alerts to ensure high availability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with software engineers on application requirements and deployment.
  • Create documentation for processes and troubleshooting guides.
  • Assist in capacity planning for future infrastructure needs.
  • Implement security best practices to protect systems and data.
  • Lead and mentor the team in site reliability practices.
  • Engage in system improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud services are a plus.
  • Experience with database management and distributed systems.
