Granicus is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our SRE team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services.

In Short

Provide on-call production support and work on customer tickets.
Continuously monitor systems and respond to alerts to ensure high availability.
Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operations.
Assist in troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis.
Collaborate with software engineers on application requirements and deployment.
Create documentation for processes and troubleshooting guides.
Assist in capacity planning for future infrastructure needs.
Implement security best practices to protect systems and data.
Lead and mentor the team in site reliability practices.
Engage in system improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or similar roles.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and cloud services.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Leadership experience in managing cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
Relevant certifications in cloud services are a plus.
Experience with database management and distributed systems.
