Senior Director of Cloud Operations - Remote

Overview

The Senior Director of Cloud Operations is responsible for the operational integrity, performance, and reliability of enterprise cloud environments. This role leads a global, data-driven operations team with a strong emphasis on incident management, service continuity, and continuous improvement. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Cloud.

In Short

• Oversee daily operations of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Lead development and execution of operational runbooks and SOPs.
• Own end-to-end incident management lifecycle.
• Implement real-time monitoring and automated remediation.
• Build and lead a global team of cloud engineers and SREs.
• Define and track operational KPIs.
• Drive AI and ML adoption in operational workflows.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spend.
• Provide regular reporting to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 14+ years in IT operations, with 7+ years in cloud leadership.
• Proven experience managing high-severity incidents.
• Deep expertise in cloud operations and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL, SRE, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in operational analytics tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).
• ITIL Foundation or Practitioner (preferred).
