Human Resources (HR) Specialist – Compliance & Employee Relations - Remote

Overview

The HR Generalist will provide broad support to the Human Resources function for a federal contracting organization with approximately 400 U.S.-based employees. This role requires a strong focus on employee relations, HR compliance, and will help support enhancement, maintenance, and maturing of our HR system (Paylocity), ensuring the organization adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as government contracting requirements.

• Full-time remote HR Specialist position focusing on compliance and employee relations.
• Partner with HR Manager on employee relations matters.
• Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws.
• Prepare documentation related to employee matters.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends.
• Assist with new hire orientations and onboarding.
• Administer compliance training in the LMS.
• Perform regular audits and support reporting requirements.
• Build positive relationships across the organization.
• Contribute to HR process improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a generalist HR role.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with employee investigations.
• Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
