GEICO is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer with a passion for building high performance, low maintenance, zero-downtime platforms, and applications.

• Drive insurance business transformation through technical excellence.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience in complex system design.
• Fluent in at least one OOP language (Java, Go, Python, C++).
• Experience with open-source messaging and event streaming products.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with developer tooling across the software development life cycle.
• 6+ years of professional experience.
• 4+ years in open-source frameworks.
• 3+ years in architecture and design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
