Senior Network Engineer - Remote

Overview

GEICO is seeking an experienced Engineer with a passion for building high-performance, low maintenance, zero-downtime platforms, and applications. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission.

• Implement, support, and maintain network infrastructure including routers and switches.
• Design, deploy, and support SD-WAN solutions.
• Monitor network performance and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex problems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Implement network security measures to protect against threats.
• Create and improve existing processes and workflows.
• Provide technical expertise in network infrastructure.
• Support resource requirements and operational processes.
• Maintain strategic roadmaps for network platforms.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in Network Engineering.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting SD-WAN solutions.
• Strong understanding of WAN technologies and security principles.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Programming experience in languages like Python or Java.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Active certifications like CCNP are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
