Overview

The nebenan.de Foundation is the non-profit subsidiary of the Berlin social enterprise Good Hood GmbH, which operates the neighborhood platform nebenan.de. We promote voluntary engagement to strengthen social cohesion in neighborhoods and society. Together with a large network of partners, we have established three annual initiatives: the nationwide Day of Neighbors, the German Neighborhood Prize, and the Climate Protection Ideas Competition.

In Short

• Focus on planning, organizing, and executing large events (online and in-person).
• Support in administrative and organizational tasks such as scheduling, presentation creation, financial planning, invoice verification, and budget control.
• Assistance in day-to-day operations and tasks in communication, public relations, and social media.

Requirements

• Passion for social engagement and interest in neighborhood and climate protection topics.
• A completed university degree.
• 2 years of experience in project and/or event management in public organizations, startups, NGOs, companies, or communication agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in standard computer programs like MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and Meta Business Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to take on responsibility.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining an overview.
• Enjoy teamwork and expanding the organization's network.
