Overview

As a Backend Systems Engineer at GoGuardian, you will work closely with product engineers to implement scalable and highly reliable systems, contributing to the improvement of learning environments.

In Short

• Work closely with product engineers to implement scalable and highly reliable systems
• Scale existing backend systems to handle increasing traffic and new product requirements
• Collaborate with developers to set up tooling for Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment
• Build and operate infrastructure for website, backend cluster, and ML projects
• Monitor and track performance and reliability of services and software

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with distributed systems and shipping high-quality product features
• Experience with Python and Object Oriented programming
• Container administration using Kubernetes, Docker, or similar
• Infrastructure automation with Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or similar
• Knowledge of cloud compute technologies and network monitoring
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
• Support for production, test, and development environments
• Installing and configuring application and database servers
• Experience in automating software deployments
• Ability to capture the big picture in problem-solving
