Geotab is a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, seeking a Senior Embedded Developer to work with telematics and expandability hardware.

In Short

• Design, write, and test C and embedded RTOS firmware systems.
• Collaborate with other developers and engineers.
• Maintain and improve testing tools and processes.
• Perform firmware development in areas like modem, GPS, and security.
• Write unit tests and conduct integration testing.
• Debug firmware issues and improve code.
• Keep documentation up-to-date.

Requirements

• Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Embedded systems design.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, Rust, and embedded software.
• Experience with RTOS and Linux.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on development experience on embedded targets.
• Knowledge of SQL and big data.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
• Understanding of electronics for firmware development.
• Strong communication skills.
